As the backbone of the company’s business, engineering talent was mission-critical. Leadership identified Rio de Janeiro as a key regional hub — but securing the right space was essential to attracting and retaining top-tier engineers.

The requirements were clear:

The permanent headquarters space would require a six-month buildout. However, hiring timelines could not pause while construction progressed.

The company needed a solution that could support two realities at once:

2. A fully customized, long-term private floor

## Phase 1 — Immediate Swing Space

To prevent hiring delays, LiquidSpace secured a six-month swing space solution through WeWork, allowing the first 40 engineering hires to begin onboarding immediately.

- Space for the first 40 hires

- Execution to move-in in under one week

This ensured hiring velocity continued without compromise.

## Phase 2 — Permanent Dedicated Floor (30-Month Agreement)

Simultaneously, LiquidSpace structured and secured a fully private, customized floor in WeWork’s Helios Seelinger building in Rio de Janeiro.

What they secured:

- 12,399 sq ft fully private, branded floor
- 113 desks 11 meeting rooms
- 4 phone booths 10 phone rooms
- 100 lockers
- Reception area and dedicated kitchen

The permanent hub is being built to spec, providing long-term stability and brand presence in a premium location.

No phased negotiations.  
No waiting to begin hiring.

 

#### The Results

Hiring began immediately.

The company launched its regional engineering expansion without waiting for construction timelines. The first wave of talent was onboarded within a week of execution.
